WIFE: The American Sign Language (ASL) sign for "wife"
 

There are two versions for how to sign WIFE.

 

One version begins by signing "GIRL" followed by a modified version of the sign for BELIEVE. (Depicted in the pictures below.)

 

The other version is similar to the version previously mentioned, but without the sign "GIRL." Instead, similar to the sign for husband, the dominant hand and non-dominant hand are both loose "C" handshapes. The dominant hand starts at the chin and non-dominant hand is in front of the body with the palm facing upwards toward the dominant hand. The dominant hand moves down from the chin to the non-dominant hand and cups it. (Depicted in the video below.)
