
open / close
These signs are for the general concept of being "open" and being "closed."
ASL has more specific signs for open and close depending on your topic. Often
time you mime a specific act of opening something. Or you use an
"instrument classifier." For instance, to open a can of beans I'd mime
the act of turning the crank of "can-opener" with my right hand while
holding onto the can of beans with my left hand.See:
