Note: "qm-w" stands for question mark wiggle. That is the process of holding an "x" hand up at the end of a sentence and wiggling the index finger (flexing it a few times.). When a sign gloss has an "!" exclamation point after it that means you should emphasize the sign. Sign it a bit faster and/or a bit more exaggerated than normal.

Note: "GROW (shift) GROW" means to sign "GROW" then move the sign a bit to the side and sign it again. This is a way of saying "garden." Some people sign "GROW" with a "G" handshape and call it an "initialized" form of the sign for garden, (I'd put that in the category of signed English rather than ASL).

Note: When done with two hands, the sign LOW can also mean "demote."

Note: "MOW" is shown by doing a short little double movement that looks like you are pushing a lawn mower.
