Workshops:
A 1-day workshop here generally refers to 3 hours in the morning, lunch, then 3 hours in the afternoon, plus a
reasonable amount (a half hour or so) of question and answer time post workshop.
For example:
9:00 AM: Hellos,
Intros, and Goals / 9:30AM to noon presentation with a couple of 10-minute bathroom breaks
Noon: Working Lunch
(meaning, Dr. Bill will remaining available to chat and answer questions between bites of food) 1:30 to 3:30 PM:
presentation
3:30 to 4:00 PM: Q & A
The following rates are general guides that may be adjusted depending on
travel costs and other expenses associated with your local area:
1-day* workshop: $3,995 (western United States)
1-day* workshop: $4,995 (eastern United States) (Requires additional travel time and expense).
The above price
includes: presentation, travel, lodging, and per diem.
Additional days: $1,200 per day.
Outside of the U.S.:
Additional fee of around $2,000 depending on the distance from Sacramento and local expenses.
Zoom-based training:
The fee for at a distance workshops is the same as in-person workshops. Why? The multiple back and forth
emails and video phone calls to arrange the details and check the technology to ensure a successful meeting requires
significant time and effort. Also, Zoom training doesn't provide the opportunity to see new places in person and meet new
potential friends in person. Seeing new places and meeting (ACTUALLY meeting) new people is over half the reason Dr. Bill
is willing to do workshops at all.
Hyper-immersions / ASL excursions:
Cost: $2,995 per person, 5-person minimum. Consists of a 24/7 ASL immersion in which each participant has their own private Deaf tutor and frequent access to Dr. Bill throughout a week of exploring and activities. If you would like to "anchor" such an immersion you may do so by paying a $1,000 down-payment.
Consulting work:
For an academic or subject-matter expert with an earned doctorate and decades of specialized
experience, a fair rate ranges from $150 to $300 per hour depending on the nature of the work. If the work involves
specialized review and verification of content rather than standard proofreading -- expect it to cost at the higher end of the
scale.
