American Sign Language: "weasel"

Does anyone know the sign for weasel?

Edit: Like the animal?

Dr. Bill replies:
Hello Ian,
I've lived in a lot of regions and have played a game that is called the "animal circle" game with hundreds of different signers (many of whom are native Deaf -- (Deaf born of Deaf parents)) -- I've never seen "weasel" signed by anyone. Nor is it in any ASL Dictionaries (I own 28). Nor does my wife know a sign for it.  Thus if you are going to find a sign for it you need to contact some sort of National Association of Weasel owners (online group perhaps) and then ask if there are any Deaf weasel owners in the group and then ask THAT person how he/she signs weasel.  The other option would be to start looking for the sign in the signed languages of other countries and then "borrow" the sign from some other signed language (if you find the sign).

Cordially,
