American Sign Language:  THEIR-singular

The concept of "their" can apply to a singular collective group.
The concept of "their" can also apply to an individual about whom we have no gender context or who identifies as nonbinary.
To help us know which version of the possessive pronoun THEIR to use we can add "-singular". 
For example:  THEIR-singular
To sign THEIR-singular we hold up  a flat hand (with the fingertips pointing up) and the elbow bent a bit. We aim the palm toward the referent and move the hand toward the referent.
