Newly added sign pages or fixed sign pages or pages that have been added to the index-old list:
___ need a page for "agriculture" which in context can be signed as FARM.
___ Kansas City in context is KC
___ Missouri uses a somewhat sideways M that transitions to an O
Oklahoma = OKLA
Pittsburgh (is spelled with an H when referring to the city in Pennsylvania). Both Maine and Pittsburgh are generally done the same way on the dominant side but IF you need to discuss both in the same conversation you could put Pittsburgh on the non-dominant side during that conversation because a percentage of people sign Pittsburgh on the non-dominant side.
LINEBACKER / LINEBACKERS = palm back 4 hands pointing down move to the side twice.
LOS ANGELES It is common to just sign LA but some do LALA (however, the same could be said about Louisiana). A review of many videos online shows that the base version of both is just LA but that some signers duplicate the LA.
___ a common sign for architect is A hands moving to the sides and down (like MUSEUM but with "A" hands)
____ for bicycle signs do YT and other search for BAER and BLAKE Across America (Deaf bicyclists)
State names that are homonyms (icononyms) for other concepts:
CA = gold
Idaho has a version that means potato
Montana = museum
North Dakota = neuro-divergent
Louisiana's versions overlaps with the versions people do for Los Angeles
Maine conflicts with the dominant shoulder version of Pittsburgh
Oklahoma is OKLA but some people shorten that to OK which conflicts with okay.
