DEGREE / DIPLOMA: The American Sign Language (ASL) sign for "degree / diploma"

If you mean "DEGREE" as in "unit of measurement," "stage in a scale" or "extent" see: DEGREE

The sign for "DEGREE" as in "diploma / an academic title conferred by universities and colleges" is produced with both hands in the "F" handshape. The index fingers and thumbs touch with the palms facing toward the floor or downward. The hands then move in the opposite direction away from each other.

Memory aid: Imagine you are showing the width and length of a rolled-up scroll. The width is shown by the "F" handshape and the length is shown by the movement that is made.
