ASL:  Deadline

This sign can be used to discuss the time or date by which a task or project should be completed. It can mean such things as "the cutoff date," "the time limit of the project."  In certain contexts it can also mean "risk" and/or "I'll be in trouble!"

DEADLINE / risk / cut throat / "I'll be in big trouble"-[metaphor]

Notes:
The sign "DEADLINE" is a metaphor based on the concept of getting one's throat cut if a task isn't completed on time.
It can also in context be used to mean risk.
