American Sign Language: "common"

COMMON (version 1)
Form "Y" hands and use them to "draw" a large circle in the air in front of you.

This version of the sign "COMMON" is based on the sign for "SAME."
The circular movement lends a "global" or "widespread" connotation to the sign resulting in a meaning of: widespread similarities or commonality.

Version 2: Use the DAILY or "everyday" sign to refer to "common" as in something that you tend to see everyday.  See: DAILY

Version 3: Use NORMAL for things that are "common" as in "typical."  See: NORMAL

Version 4: If you mean "regular" then see: REGULAR
